Yay! We didn’t sink!

We boated for nearly 20 years, and I was only scared a couple times. Going up Malaspina Inlet on our way north was one of those times. It was worth it to get to beautiful Desolation Sound.

It takes a few days to get to Desolation Sound from Whidbey Island. Most of the way is pretty protected. But a couple passages can get scary when weather and currents make a mess of the water. Here’s what that can be like.
